Tygerberg Hospice provides holistic palliative care to patients living with a life-limiting illness. In addition to addressing physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs, we offer ongoing support to patients’ families.

At Tygerberg Hospice we believe in treating our patients with the dignity and respect that they deserve and address their needs in the four main areas – physical, spiritual, emotional and social.
We give our patients the opportunity to enjoy the highest quality of life for as long as they have. This gives our patients the chance to share special moments with their family and to express all the things they need to say.
We take care of your loved ones
Our professional nurses will train family members on how to administer medication and our social worker is always available to assist patients and their families to work through the emotions and stress of this difficult time.
Hospice care does not mean that a patient and their family are giving up. It means that they have the best possible care and support available at a time of need.
